Primary School Teacher Conserves Water, Plants Trees To Help Villagers
Primary school teacher Bhaktaraj Garje tried all means to encourage students in Kulalwadi in Maharashtra’s Sangli district to attend schools, however, he failed. Later he realised that their absence from school is due to the water scarcity and migrant worker parents. To diminish the problem faced by the villagers, the 33-year-old teacher conserved crores of litres of water and planted 25,000 trees to bring prosperity to the village.
