Tamil Nadu CM Declares Govt Holiday On Thaipusam Festival
To celebrate the festival of Thaipusam, Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami has pronounced January 28 as a government holiday. He stated that the decision was taken since the public requested the move for a long time. Besides, the festival has been enlisted in the upcoming years' holidays list. Thaipusam is a major festival held in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and foreign nations like Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Malaysia and Singapore that glorifies Lord Murugan.
