Telugu Mandatory Second Language For Classes 1-10 For All School Boards: Telangana
Telangana government has made Telugu a compulsory second language for students in CBSE, ICSE, IB, and other board-affiliated institutions from Classes 1 to 10 commencing from academic year 2022-23. The government has developed two Telugu textbooks, one for Telugu-speaking kids and one for youngsters whose mother language is not Telugu. The state government warned that disobedience of the guideline will have significant consequences on the NOC provided to such institutions.
