Uttarakhand To Deliver COVID Vaccines In Remote Areas Through Drones
The Uttarakhand government has planned to deliver COVID-19 vaccines through drones in the remote hilly areas. The state’s Drone Application and Research Centre have successfully conducted test trials of a drone, which flown from Dehradun to Mussoorie while carrying a vaccine in an ice-box. Information Technology Department Agency director Amit Sinha said drones would be effective in saving time and cost. Reportedly, the government has used drones to collect blood samples from remote villages.
