Haryana Extends Ban On Internet In Karnal: Farmers' Protest
Haryana government on September 7 decided to extend the temporary ban on mobile internet and SMS services in Karnal district following the farmers' "non-stop" protest against the administration's "lathi-charge" on August 28. Reportedly, the farmers demanded an FIR against those 'who ordered the lathi-charge'. ''We've captured the gate of mini secretariat...it's up to the government now as to when they want to talk,'' said Rakesh Tikait.
