Hearing Over Arnab's Bail Plea In Bombay High Court To Continue On Nov 7
After listening Arnab Goswami's counsels "for considerable time" regarding a bail plea, the Bombay High Court on November 6 said it would continue the hearing on November 7. The court stated the hearing would be a "special session" and two other accused in the case would also be heard. Goswami has been arrested in an abetment of suicide case and, earlier, was sentenced a 14-day judicial custody by a Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami Arrested For Abetment Of Suicide
Republic TV Editor Arnab Goswami has been arrested on November 4 by the Mumbai Police for abetting the suicide of a mother-son duo in 2018. He has been charged under Section 306 of IPC. Reportedly, a team of police, with over a dozen armed guards, entered Goswami's residence where they took him under custody. However, Goswami's side claimed that he was "manhandled" and the case was already closed by judiciary.

TRP Scam: Republic TV To File Case Against Mumbai Police Commissioner
Republic Media Network has stated that it will sue Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh for Rs 200 crore for allegedly defaming the channel in TRP scam case. Reportedly, the company's statement claimed that the counsel of Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police confessed in the Bombay High Court that the channel was not named in the TRP-related FIR. 'Have Faith in High Courts', SC to Arnab on TRP Scam Case
The Supreme Court has asked Arnab Goswami's counsel to appeal in the Bombay high court first in relation to the TRP scam case. A bench lead by Justice DY Chandrachud said that they cannot "entertain" such petitions which have not been through the High Courts and advised Arnab's counsel to have faith in the country's high courts. Reportedly, Arnab's lawyer has agreed to withdraw the case and move it in the Bombay High Court.
