Rajasthan Government Launches 'Rural Tourism Scheme' To Boost Tourism

The Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has launched the Rajasthan Rural Tourism Scheme to promote tourism in rural areas. In addition, the tourism sector has been allocated a fund of Rs 1,000 crore. Moreover, the ‘Vagad Tourist Circuit’ will be created to avail better tourist infrastructure in the tribal-dominated districts. ''Our government’s priority is to bring back tourism trade and business in the state back on track,'' stated CM Gehlot.

Rajasthan: Weddings With Over 100 Attendees To Be Fined Rs 25,000

After witnessing a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases, the Rajasthan government has decided to impose a fine of Rs 25,000 if the number of people attending a wedding crosses 100. It stated the wedding organisers' must ensure that number of attendees does not go beyond 100. Earlier, the government increased the amount of fine for not wearing masks from Rs 200 to Rs 500, while imposing a nigh-curfew in eight districts.

Rajasthan CM Prohibits Sale Of Firecrackers To Reduce Air Pollution

Citing the life-threatening COVID-19 situations, the Rajasthan government on November 2 prohibited the sale of firecrackers and directed to limit their use.
