PM Modi To Address Public Rally In Mapusa: Goa Assembly Polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 10, will hold a rally in Mapusa for the upcoming Goa elections. Press release issued by BJP said that PM will address the public rally at 5 PM at Bodgeshwar Maidan. All the arrangements have been made and the pandal is lightened up by beautiful lights for the dignitaries. However, the BJP informed party is taking all the Covid-19 issued by the Election Commission.

BJP Releases Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, Manifesto For UP Elections

After a delay of two days, the BJP finally released the party manifesto for the UP Assembly elections, on February 8. Named as "Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra," the manifesto, promising growth of farmers, youths and women, was released in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and other state leaders. Union Home Minister Amit Shah To Campaign On Jan 30: Goa Elections

Ahead of the Goa elections, Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a day visit to poll-bound Goa on January 30. BJP Goa chief informed that Shah will launch an umbrella campaign in Vasco and will address three public meetings in Grace Garden Sharda Mandir Multipurpose Hall. SC Issues Notice To EC Over "Irrational Freebies": Assembly Polls

Taking a serious note of freebies announced by political parties ahead of elections, the Supreme Court, issued a notice to the ECI. Reviewing a petition, on January 25, CJI NV Ramana asked the EC and Central Government to take a legal path, saying freebies budget goes beyond regular budget, and needs a legal action. The court also asked the EC to dismiss parties, which offers "irrational freebies" to woo voters.

BJP Core Group To Hold Meeting In Delhi: Manipur Assembly Elections

ECI Extends Rally Ban Till Jan 31 With Relaxations: COVID-19

Ahead of the assembly elections in five states, the Election Commission of India, on January 22, extended imposed ban on rallies. Notably the ban for public rallies and campaigns have been extended till January 31, with relaxations. After a high level meeting, EC approved door-to-door campaign with 10 people and public meetings from January 28 and February 1 ,for states conducting elections in first and second phases.
