EV Manufacturers Should Focus On Making Affordable EVs: Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that the EV manufacturers should focus on making affordable EVs which would benefit the common people. The statement came as he inaugurated the EV Campaign 2022 and 152 EV charging stations, on July 1. He said that only when EVs become affordable, it will start being used widely. He further stated that the government has decided to induct more EV buses into BMTC.

Bangalore To Become City With Amenities Of International Standards: CM Basavaraj Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that Bangalore will be developed into a city with amenities of international standards, and his government is working towards making that a reality. He stated that Nagarothana projects worth Rs 6,000 crore has been initiated, and Rs 1,600 crore has been provided for the development of stormwater drains. 108 Ft Bronze Statue Of Kempegowda To Be Unveiled Soon At Bangalore Airport: CM Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that a bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda will be unveiled at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. Reportedly, the statue will be 108 ft tall, and weigh 220 tons. He further stated that the statue is in its final stages of completion. The statue is constructed in a 23 acre heritage park and comes with a sword that weight 4,000 kg.

Karnataka CET 2022: 9,600 Invigilators Deployed For 2,16,525 Candidates

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 is scheduled to be held from June 16 to June 18. Karnataka CET is a gateway that facilitates candidates to seek admissions for various professional courses in the state. About 2,16,525 candidates have registered for the exam which will be conducted in 486 centres across the state. About 9,600 invigilators and 20,483 officials have been deployed to carry out the examination duties.
