Prominent poll strategist Prashant Kishor is likely to begin a new chapter of his work from Bihar, his home town. On May 2, Kishor posted a cryptic tweet, "My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy and help shape pro-people policy led to a roller-coaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters", The tweet indicated his next project to be in Bihar.

Congress approved six members of the party to contest the Members of the Legislative Council elections in Bihar. The candidates name was approved by Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, on March 11. As per the list, the names the have been announced for six constituencies, named: Gopalganj, Rohtas, Darbhanga, Purnea, Kishanganj, Nawada and Samistipur. Furthermore, the ECI is yet to announce the Bihar MLC elections schedule soon.
