Biparjoy To Land At Jakhau Port, Gujarat By Evening

The Biparjoy cyclone is becoming a major concern for the states like Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Started from the Arabian Sea, the Cyclone would have a disastrous affect in the coastal region of Gujarat. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the powerful storm would hit the Indian port of Jakhau in Gujarat late evening on June 15.  powerful storm is 170 km away from Jakhau Port and 201 km Dwarka.

Cyclone Biparjoy Intensifies, Termed As Worst In History Of India

Cyclone Biparjoy To Intensify In Gujarat, IMD Issues Alert

The cyclone "Biparjoy" is likely to be intensified in Gujarat, confirmed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). They also issued an alert for Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat, following which the concerned officials started shifting people in the safer zones. Cyclone Biparjoy To Intensify In Next 36 Hours: IMD

Cyclone Biparjoy is set to intensify in the next 36 hours and will be heading north-northwestwards in the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a tweet on Friday. The very severe cyclonic storm was located over the east-central Arabian Sea located 840-kilometer west-southwest of Goa and 870 km west-southwest of Mumbai at 11:30 pm on June 8, the IMD said.
