Sparking a controversy, BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has once again called the Mahatma Gandhi's assasin, Nathuram Godse, as "a patriot". The Malegoan blast accused, Pragya, was reacting to Digvijaya Singh's remarks, in which he asked Godse supporters to "have some shame". Veteran Gujarati Actor and Former MLA Naresh Kanodia Dies Of COVID
Gujarati actor turned politician Naresh Kanodia died on October 27 in Ahmedabad due to COVID-19. The 77-year-old had tested positive for the virus on October 20 and was undergoing treatment. He had also undergone bypass surgery as his condition worsened. Kanodia has acted in over 100 films and later became the BJP MLA in 2002. He passed away two days after the death of his brother and Gujarati singer Mahesh Kanodia.

Odisha: BJP MLA Arrested for Assaulting and Threatening Engineer
Prakash Soren, a BJP legislator from Odisha, was arrested on September 4 for allegedly physically assaulting an ITDA assistant executive engineer. According to the victim, the MLA abused him alleging all work was given to other party members. Reportedly, Soren demanded Rs five lakh, and even threatened the victim to life. The accused MLA was arrested and later released on bail. Following the arrest, BJP party workers had staged protests.

Uttarakhand: Suspension of BJP MLA Over Viral Gun Video Revoked
On August 25, BJP MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh’s suspension was cancelled after 13 months of 'good conduct'. He had been suspended from the party for six years, over a viral video of him dancing with guns and using abusive language. The party’s core committee took the decision after he apologized publicly. Singh "was not involved in any act of indiscipline in the past one year," party's state president Bansi Dhar Bhagat said.
