The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) launched searches at Jet Airways offices and residence of owner Naresh Goyal. The searches were carried out in the view of bank fraud allegations, confirmed CBI officials. As per sources, the CBI has registered a case against Jet Airways, Naresh Goyal, wife Anita Goyal and Ananda Shetty for duping banks to the tune of Rs 538 crores. Seven locations are being raided in Mumbai.

In a major relief for YS Bhaskar Reddy and his son YS Avinash Reddy, the Telangana High Court, ordered the CBI to investigate the YS Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case, as per the Supreme Court guidelines. On April 20, the Telangana HC bench heart the plea of YS Bhaskar, who has been arrested in the murder case. In the plea, Bhaskar urged the court to ensure his medical tests and SC-guidelines.

Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav once again appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the land for job scam. The CBI team arrived in Patna, and questioned Tejaswi Yadav, his sister Misa Bharti and a few RJD leaders. Notably, calling the same a dictatorship of the PM Modi led BJP Government, and criticized the central agency. The scam happened under Rjd-rule in Bihar.

The CBI registered a case against jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia over alleged corruption in the Delhi government's Feedback Unit (FBU). The FBU was formed by the AAP after coming to power in Delhi in 2015.  "The unlawful manner of creation and working of the Feedback Unit has caused wrongful loss to the government exchequer to the tune of approximate ₹ 36 Lakhs," the CBI claimed.

Rohini Acharya, the former Bihar chief minister's second daughter, slammed the CBI questioning of Lalu Prasad Yadav in a scam case, On March 7, Acharya said, his father is constantly being harassed and is still in recovery stage, after the recent kidney transplant. Rohini, who gave a kidney to Lalu Prasad warned saying, she won't spare anyone if something happens to his father, after CBI visited Lalu for questioning.
