Lok Sabha Passes Bill To Curb Film Piracy: Monsoon Parliament Session
During the ongoing Monsoon Parliament Session, the Lok Sabha passed a bill to curb the piracy of films in India. On July 31, the Lok Sabha passed a Bill to curb the menace of film piracy, revamp age-based certification given by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as well as uniformity in the categorisation of films and content across platforms. The Cinematograph (Amendment ) Bill 2023 was released.

Home Minister's Special Operation Medal To Now Be Given To Officials Of CBIC
Apart from the police department, officials from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs are now eligible for the Union home minister's special operation medal. The medal is awarded for the actions taken by the personnel in preventing narcotics smuggling. In 2021, about 397 personnel received the award, whereas only 39 recieved it in 2020 and 46 in 2019.

Central Board of RBI Approves Transfer of Rs 57,128 Crore to Centre
In 584th meeting of the Central Board chaired by governor Shaktikanta Das, RBI approved transfer of Rs 57,128 crore as surplus, to the Central Government for the fiscal year of 2019-20. As coronavirus crises affected Centre's revenue targets, government faced a high fiscal deficit of Rs 6.62 lakh crore during April-June quarter. Reserve Bank mandates for any profits made by its operation to be sent to the Centre (RBI Act, 1934).
