The Congress took strong objections to BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri's remarks in the Lok Sabha and demanded his suspension from the House. Terming the remarks as an insult to all MPs, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the apology offered by Union Minister Rajnath Singh was a mere eyewash and not sufficient. Strict action should be taken against him, he demanded on September 22.

Sonia Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) will open the debate in the Lok Sabha session and will discuss the Women's Reservation Bill. Notably, the Congress is raising claims that tabled by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and the BJP Government, the idea was of Congress. The bill which is yet to be approved and pass will provide 33% reservation to women in politics.
The controversial Delhi Services Bill will be in Rajya Sabha today for discussion and vote. Though bitterly resisted by the Opposition, it is expected to have smooth sailing, given the support from Naveen Patnaik's BJD and Andhra's YSRCP Party. Rahul Gandhi is reinstated as the Member of Parliament (MP) of Wayanad, Karnataka. The Supreme Court (SC) recently stayed the conviction orders of the Gujarat High Court (HC) against Rahul Gandhi, in the 2019 Modi Surname Defamation Case. The stay on Gandhi’s conviction made him eligible to return to the Lok Sabha, and had to wait for a formal order from the secretariat to re-enter the Lok Sabha.
During the ongoing Monsoon Parliament Session, the Lok Sabha passed a bill to curb the piracy of films in India. On July 31, the Lok Sabha passed a Bill to curb the menace of film piracy, revamp age-based certification given by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as well as uniformity in the categorisation of films and content across platforms. The Lok Sabha Secretariat restored the membership of disqualified Lok Sabha member Mohammed Faizal PP, who represents the Lakshadweep parliamentary constituency. Notably, the Congress and opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) demanded a discussion over the recent disqualification of Rahul Gandhi as Lok Sabha MP and the Adani V/S Hindenburg matter. In addition, the non BJP MPs also demanded a discussion over the recently introduced Amended Finance Bill 2023.

Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra hits back at the BJP who asked her to mind her language in the Lok Sabha. On February 8, Moitra hit back at the BJP saying, "BJP is saying how can I use such a word being woman, do I need to be a man to be able to give it back as good as it gets? So there's patriarchy."
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demanded action against the former President of the Congress Rahul Gandhi, for his allegations against PM Narendra Modi. On February 8, Dubey wrote to Lok Sabha and urged the Parliament to take action against Gandhi, saying the allegations of Rahul Gandhi against the BJP and PM Narendra Modi are baseless and derogatory and without any kind of evidences.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi recently concluded his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' and expressed his views and results with this initiative. During the Parliament Session, addressing the Lok Sabha, Gandhi said during the yatra, people came to him expressing their views and issues, and he used to share his point of view over the issue, like unemployment, price hike and others.
