Chhattisgarh Cyber Police Arrest Accused For Defrauding A Doctor In Online Stock Market
The director of a "fake" stock market advising firm was detained on May 18 by the Chhattisgarh police's cyber wing for reportedly deluding a doctor in Raigarh district of ₹87 lakh. The accused, Mohsin N, a Kerala native, was apprehended in Bengaluru and brought to Raipur. He claimed that his company, Creative Technology, was employed as a financial analyst for a Singapore-based financial corporation. The bank accounts are being frozen.

Vehicle Turns Upside Down,3 Died & 18 Injured In Chhattisgarh
Three people died and left 18 people injured in an accident near Dhodhoi Chowk in Chhattisgarh. Notably, on May 12, the vehicle carrying 25 people returning from a marriage ceremony, turned upside down. According to the police the mishap took place when the driver took the car off-road after spotting a cattle on the road to the village Gandhi. The police registered the case under section 279, 337 of IPC.

1 DRG Official Dies In Encounter With Naxals In Narayanpur: Chhattisgarh
In an encounter with the naxals, a District Reserve Guard (DRG) official was killed. The incident occurred in the jungle area near Mungari village of Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur, on May 4. "A jawan of DRG lost his life today in an encounter with naxals in the jungle near Mungari village", said Sadanand Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Narayanpur. Goods Train Derails In Chhattisgarh; 7 Compartments Including Engine Falls Off Track
In Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district, a goods train derailed at the Jamoagon (JMG) Railway Station, on March 28. Reportedly, seven compartments including the engine derailed from the tracks. National Commission For Minorities Urges Due Clearance For Madrasa Teachers
In order to clear Madrasa Teacher's dues, the National Minorities Commission (NMC) urged the Central Government to pay the pending funds. Syed Shahzadi, the Officiating Chairperson of NCM said, "In these states (Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar), it came to light that the Madrasa teachers were deprived of their salaries for four years". Notably, in 2018 the NCM sent a letter to the Union Ministry of Education, regarding the release.

School Teacher Arrives Drunk In Classroom, Suspended: Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh's Jashpur, a school teacher named Dinesh Kumar Lakhsme has been suspended after he reached classroom in a drunken state. Furthermore, he even beaten a student with a cricket bat, following which the district collector issued his suspension order and launched investigation, on March 12. "A school teacher in Jashpur on March 10 arrived in the school premises and beat students with a cricket bat," stated the collector.

Pregnant Women Travels For Delivery Due To Lack Of Roads
As per reports, a pregnant woman from Jharkhand had to go all the way to Chhattisgarh because she couldn't access healthcare facilities in her village. "We called up Jharkhand's helpline number for a pregnant woman but we were told that they won't be able to help us in the absence of the road,'' stated a local resident. Notably, the Deputy Commissioner of Gumla district is looking into the matter.
