In Andhra Pradesh, approximately 70,000 people were arrested in regard to illicit liquor manufacturing. Higher Education Institutes To Resume Offline Classes In J&K
Jammu and Kashmir government has permitted higher education institutes to resume offline classes if the staff and children have completed both doses of vaccination. Due to the second wave institutes were closed for almost four months. A meeting headed by Chief Secretary AK Mehta instructed that schools and coaching centers would remain closed for "onsite or in-person teaching till further orders."

Jharkhand To Ban Tobacco Products In Government Offices From 2021
Jharkhand government has decided to mandate an affidavit from its employees to quit tobacco consumption in offices. The decision, which was aimed to implement Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, will be implemented from April 1, 2021. Reportedly, the employees will be refrained from consuming any form of tobacco including e-hukka and e-cigarettes. NGT Directs UP Govt to Keep Check on Illegal Operations of Brick Kilns
The National Green Tribunal has asked the Uttar Pradesh Government to check for illegal operation of brick-kilns to prevent polluting air in the NCR region. The bench held that brick-kiln industry alone contributes to 5-7% of PM10 emissions.
