UP's 33 Districts Declared Covid-Free: State Health Department

Almost 33 districts of Uttar Pradesh haven't reported a single active Covid case as of September 9 and about 67 districts haven't reported any case in the last 24 hours. However, UP still has 199 active cases. The Covid recovery rate of the state has improved to 98.7% and the positivity rate has come down to 0.01%. About seven crore people have been vaccinated with the first dose in UP.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Bans Meat & Liquor Trade In Mathura

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on the occasion of Janmashtami Krishnotsava 2021 instructed to ban meat and liquor in Mathura. He further said that people involved in such trades should start selling up milk to bring back the glory of Mathura. CM also prayed to Lord Krishna to end coronavirus. He added, "Every effort will be made to develop Brij Bhumi and there will no dearth of funds for this."

Uttar Pradesh To Get First Ayush University In Gorrakhpur

Uttar Pradesh will soon get the state's first Ayush University as President Ram Nath Kovind is set to lay the foundation stone for the University in Gorakhpur's Pipri-Tarkulha village on August 28. Yogi Govt Lifts Weekend COVID-19-Induced Lockdown

Considering the declining trend of COVID-19 cases, the Yogi government has announced to end the Sunday lockdown in UP on August 20. With the announcement, the market can now operate every day and the movement of people is allowed between 6 am to 10 pm. Notably, the UP government had already lifted the Saturday lockdown on August 11. The state reported only 29 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Congress Holds Protest In UP Against Yogi Government

UP Govt To Take Care Of Baby Girl Found Floating In Ganga River

UP Government To Soon Vaccinate All Eligible In The State Against COVID-19

Mathura Brick Kiln Industry Seeks UP Govt Help After Tauktae Effect

Brick kiln owners in Mathura have requested a waiver of royalty and GST from the UP government to survive the heavy losses faced due to cyclone Tauktae. Reportedly, each of the 250 kiln owners suffered a loss of Rs 8-12 lakhs with cascading effect on 50,000 workers due to early closure of the industry which goes on till mid-June. The District Brick Kiln Association also requested for free rations.
