CBI Raids Residences Of WB Law Minister Moloy Ghatak In Coal Scam
The CBI raided West Bengal Law Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Moloy Ghatak's residence in Asansol. The raid was in connection with the coal scam, under the CBI investigation. On September 7, the probe agency simultaneously raided five other locations in Kolkata, in absence of Ghatak. Coal Scam Case: CBI Court Sentences Coal Secretary To 3 Years In Jail
A special CBI court in Delhi has sentenced former coal secretary HC Gupta to three years of Imprisonment in the ongoing coal scam case. The judgement has come after finding irregularities in the allocation of a Maharashtra coal block. The court also sentenced former joint secretary KS Kropha to two years of imprisonment, and Mukesh Gupta, the director of the Nagpur-based M/S Grace Industries Ltd to four years of imprisonment.

TMC MLA Saokat Molla Summoned By CBI In Coal Scam Case: West Bengal
In a latest development in the Kolkata coal smuggling case, TMC MLA Saokat Molla has been summoned by CBI for investigation. CBI has asked Molla to bring documents related to bank transactions, passbooks, passport, identify proofs and other documents related to his business. ED Issues Fresh Summons To Abhishek Banerjee In Coal Scam: Kolkata
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of CM Mamata Banerjee in connection to a money laundering case linked to an alleged coal scam in West Bengal. ED stated that new evidence has been gathered against Abhishek. Abhishek had been summoned by ED on March 21 and on September 6, 2021. The coal scam is related to illegally mines coals being sold in the black market.
