Passengers In Pickup Van Get Electrocuted In West Bengal's Cooch Behar; 10 Dead, 16 Injured
In West Bengal's Cooch Behar district, a pickup van got electrocuted on August 1, resulting in the death of at least 10 persons. Sixteen out of 27 passengers sustained minor injuries, due which, have been admitted to Jalpaiguri hospital for treatment. According to the police, the electrocution happened due to the wiring of the generator of the DJ system. Further details are awaited.

2 Dead, Several Injured In Cooch Behar Storm
At least two persons have died and several others have been injured during the storm in the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. Rabindra Nath Ghosh of the Cooch Behar municipality noted that there have been two deaths in the storm in the Moamari Gram Panchayat. He also specified that 50 people have sustained injuries. In other news, 20 deaths have been reported from the recent storm in Assam.

Bengal: 14 Bombs Recovered, Disposed Ahead Of 5th Phase Of Elections
The West Bengal Bomb Squad on April 12 disposed off at least 14 crude bombs recovered in Shamsherganj of Murshidabad district. Notably, the area is poll-bound for the fifth phase of the assembly elections scheduled on April 17. Recently, the state had witnessed a violence in Cooch Behar district during the fourth phase of the elections on April 10 that had caused the death of four people.

Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh Warns Of Encounter, Cooch Behar Like Act
Following the four deaths in West Bengal's Cooch Behar, the Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh has warned of similar killings if someone tries to breach the law and order. Calling the deceased as "naughty boys", Ghosh said, "if anyone dares to take law into his hands, same will happen to them also".
