Wear Face Masks While Traveling, Says Union Railway Ministry

Amid the concerns of COVID-19 rise in India, the Indian Railway Ministry advised commuters to wear masks while traveling in trains. On May 11, the Union Railways issued an official notice which read, "all passengers should be wearing face masks at the entry, exits and while traveling in the travel". The notice also asked people to follow all the guidelines of Novel Coronavirus and being cautious.

Maharashtra To Reopen Worship Places & Schools In Early October

Following the brief meetings with COVID-19 task forces, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackery has confirmed that schools and worship places will reopen in early October in the state. Schools will reopen from October 4 for classes 5-12 in rural areas while 8-12 in urban areas, and worship places will reopen from October 7 in adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. Residential and boarding schools will remain closed for the time being.

Afghan Refugees Witnessed Protesting, Violating COVID Norms In Delhi

The Delhi police have filed a case against Afghan Solidarity Committee Chief Ahmad Zia Ghani, including other Afghan refugees who were found contravention of Covid-19 norms. Case Against Malayalam Actors For Flouting Covid Norms

Malayalam actors namely Mammootty and Ramesh Pisharody including 300 others have been registered under a case by the police for flouting Covid-19 norms. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari was seen flouting the Covid-19 protocols during his Barrackpore rally, on April 15, as he placed himself atop a truck mask-less between the heavy crowd. When asked about the protocol breach, Tiwari said that "as someone comes close to me I will wear it (mask)". However, in his tweet featuring the rally's video, he urged people to follow the Covid-19 guidelines.

K'taka Imposes Fresh Restrictions; Gyms Closed, Theatres To Run At 50%

The Karnataka government on April 2 announced fresh strict restrictions owing to surge in the COVID-19 cases. The government order, in effect till April 20, asked all gyms and swinging pools to be shut. Further, it also provisioned all pubs, clubs and bars to function strictly with a maximum 50% seating capacity. It also advised people to follow COVID-19 protocols while being in departmental stores, malls and public places.
