Delhi Records 314 Recoveries In Last 24 Hours Amid Rise In COVID-19 Cases

Delhi recorded 314 Covid-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries in the national capital up to 18,41,890. As per the Delhi government health bulletin, 1,009 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the highly vaccinated national capital. Delhi has also reimposed the mask mandate amid a surge in the number of infections. Public health experts have strongly advised against panic.

'No Need To Panic,' Says Maharashtra's Health Minister On COVID Situation

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has stressed that the Covid situation is under control in the state, and that there is no need to panic. This statement comes a day after the Centre asked Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Mizoram to keep a check on Covid-19. He also suggested that the state government would take the "right step at the right time," depending upon the situation.

Maha Govt To Withdraw Over 3 Lakh Cases Of Lockdown Violations

The Maharashtra government has announced a withdrawal of over 3.08 lakh cases registered against the violators of the COVID-19 lockdown norms. The cases were registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code which provisions for six months imprisonment with fine, if the "Disobedience to order" causes damage to human life, health and safety.
