2 SpiceJet Pilots Barred For Undershooting Runway At Guwahati
Two SpiceJet pilots flying the SG960 Bengaluru-Guwahati flight have been suspended by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials as they undershot the runway while landing. Supreme Court Endorses DGCA's Credit Shell Method For Refunds
The Supreme Court on October 1 accepted DGCA's credit shell method to make refunds for cancelled flights during lockdown. According to the scheme, if airlines were not able to provide refunds, the amount concerned can be made available to the passengers through credit vouchers. Reportedly, the bookings that happened through agents will be refunded only by them.

Flight Tickets Booked During First 2 Phase of Lockdown Will be Refunded: DGCA in SC
All flight tickets booked between March 25 and May 3 will be fully refunded by airlines, DGCA conveyed to the Supreme Court on September 6. It stated that non-refund of tickets and creating "involuntary" credit shell was a violation of Aircraft Rules (1937). Earlier, in June, the apex court had asked airline operators and the Centre to help customers by creating a credit shell with a validity of 2 years.

Passengers Without Masks to be Included in ‘No-Fly List’

Vinay Dube Quits as Wadia Group's GoAir CEO
Vinay Dube, CEO of Wadia Group's GoAir, has resigned. Kaushik Khona who previously was the CEO from 2009-11, has been re-appointed. According to DGCA, GoAir's domestic market share has dropped significantly, being just 3.8% in July 2020. The airline is currently operating small number of flights and has sent the 70 percent of its staff on leave without pay, since April.

Indian Air Travels Slump by 54.84% Compared to Last Year
According to the data from DGCA, a total of 372 lakh passengers have traveled by air from January to July, 2020 which is 54.84% lesser than the number of passengers travelled last year in the same period. The domestic air passenger traffic has reduced by 82.3% to 21.07 lakh in the month of July. IndiGo continues to be the largest carrier with a market share of 60.4% in July.
