Makkal Needhi Maiam's (MNM) President Kamal Hassan, in the party's election manifesto released on March 19, promised to bring monorail in every city of Tamil Nadu. Opposition parties including Congress, TMC, DMK and RJD walked out from the Rajya Sabha on February 2 after Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu rejected their demand for discussion over farm laws. Naidu rejected the demands saying the issue can be raised on February 3 during the discussion on 'Motion of Thanks' to the President's Address.
