Actor Hrithik Roshan donated $15,000 to 'Help India Breathe,' a COVID-19 fundraiser started by international author Jay Shetty on May 3. Reportedly, the campaign aims to raise over $1 million dollars to supply medical equipment and COVID-19 related aid for those in urgent need in India. Notably, many celebrities including Will and Jada Smith, Ellen DeGeneres, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes have pledged money for the noble cause.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna have announced the donation of 100 oxygen concentrators to the COVID-19 fight. Sharing the news on Instagram, Twinkle requested everyone to contribute in any way possible. Akshay had earlier donated Rs one crore to cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir's foundation as an aid against COVID-19. Notably, he also had tested positive for coronavirus on April 4.
