4 Arrested By Odisha Police For Selling Marijuana In Bhubaneswar

Odisha's police have arrested four people for selling marijuana in Bhubaneshwar's Jharpada Canal Road. The police have confiscated 83 kilograms of marijuana, two motorcycles, three mobile phones from the peddlers. Andhra Pradesh: 4 Arrested With 120 Kg Of Ganja

Four people, including a woman, were detained in Andhra Pradesh's Nandigama for smuggling ganja. Police also seized 120 kg of ganja from them. The police informed that the accused were smuggling the contraband to Mumbai. Reportedly, the police squad seized the ganja when it was being moved from one vehicle to the other. "Efforts are on to arrest two more persons," said Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu.

Kerala: 140 Kg Of Ganja Seized In Ernakulam; 3 Arrested

Ernakulam district officials in Kerala on November 25 seized about 140 kg of ganja. In two separate operations, the officials seized 105 kg of ganja from Angamaly and 35 kg from the Ernakulam Rural. Ansal, Nizar and Chanthu, the three smugglers apprehended, are believed to be wholesale drug smugglers. "We have already launched a probe and more people are suspected to be involved," said Ernakulam (Rural) Police chief K. Karthik.

Bharti Singh's Husband Harsh Limbachiyaa Also Arrested Over Drug Use

After the arrest of comedian Bharti Singh, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa on November 22. Reportedly, NCB seized 86.5 grams of ganja after a search operation at their production office and residence. An official from NCB said that the couple had been booked under the NDPS Act for possession and consumption of ganja. The hearing for their bail plea is scheduled on November 23.

NCB Arrests Bollywood Producer Firoz Nadiadwala's Wife For Buying 'Ganja'

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials have arrested wife of Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala for buying marijuana from a drug peddler. The NCB banged upon Nadiadwala's house after tracing into the clients of the drug peddler, Wahid Shaikh. Reportedly, the NCB has also seized ganja from the producer's wife, Shabana Saeed. An official said Shaikh had been supplying drugs to many people working in the TV and film industries.

UP Special Task Force Arrests Four Drug Smugglers With Ganja Worth Rs 1 Crore

Busting a drug racket in Uttar Pradesh' Sonbhadra district, the state's Special Task Force on November 7 arrested a gang of four drug smugglers. The officials have seized about 800 kg of ganja worth Rs 1 crore, a truck, a car, 2 driving licenses, 2 Aadhar cards, a PAN card along with Rs 3,500 in cash. Reportedly, 300 sacks of salt, which were used to conceal the contraband, were also seized.

Chennai: Police Seize 330 Kg Ganja Smuggled for Peddling

Chennai city police's Prohibition and Enforcement Wing seized 330 kgs of ganja and arrested four people who tried to smuggle it into the city. Reportedly, the four accused tried to smuggle ganja concealed among dry fish in a goods carrier from Andhra Pradesh into Tamilnadu for peddling. Inspector Rajalakshmi-led team has also seized four mobile phones and cash worth Rs 2.8 lakh from the accused and initiated further probe to trace links.

Uttar Pradesh Police Seize Ganja worth Rs 1.25 Crore in Hathras

The Uttar Pradesh Police have take into custody about 140 bags of Ganja which is said to have been buried in an under-construction plot in Hathras. The police informed that each bag contained about six-seven kg of Ganja, accounting to ta total of 850kg. The worth of this is estimated to be at Rs 1.25 crore. The police suspect that it could have been smuggled from Odisha and investigation is underway.

Mumbai: Marijuana Worth Rs 4.2 Lakh Seized; One Arrested

The Mumbai Police’s Bandra Unit has registered a case, under the 'Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985', against a man identified as Chandali Bashir Ahmad Ansari. The accused was arrested on September 21 for carrying 21 kg of marijuana worth Rs 4,20,000 that was subsequently seized by the police. Reportedly, a search patrol was laid for tracing drug peddlers. read-more

Karnataka: Three Held In Connection With Marijuana Cultivation
