West Bengal Police Arrests Man With 5 Kg Heroin Worth Rs 25 Crore

Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) recovered over five kilograms of heroin worth Rs 25.09 crore from Purba Bardhaman district’s Rasulpur Bazar on March 1. Following a tip-off, the STF arrested one peddler recovering the narcotic drug from his vehicle. Moreover, the peddler is now being interrogated by the Kolkata police of any links with recently arrested BJP leaders, including Pamela Goswami who was found with 90 gm cocaine.

Man Arrested For Smuggling Drugs Worth Rs 28 Lakh In Teddy Bear

A cab driver in Bangalore had been arrested for allegedly smuggling narcotic substances in a teddy bear from Assam. The 34-year-old Sakir Hussain Choudhury had hidden drugs worth Rs 28 lakh in a teddy bear. The city police had caught Sakir at a check post within the city limits on December 3. Police informed that Sakir was involved in other illegal activities and had sold drugs near educational institutions.

Punjab: Police Arrest Taxi Driver En Route To Deliver Heroin

Punjab Police on October 9 arrested a taxi driver, Pritam Singh, in Ludhiana for carrying 105 gm of heroin. Reportedly, Pritam was caught at Dholewal Military Complex after the police received an input that the accused was en route to deliver the prohibited substance. The accused has been booked under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act. Besides, the police are tracking the past criminal record of the accused.

Assam: 572 gm Heroin Seized from Truck's Spare Tyre; 2 Arrested

On August 31, after getting a tip off, Laharijan police intercepted a mini truck and conducted a search. Reportedly, 572 gm of heroin, which is worth lakhs or rupees, was seized from a spare tyre from the vehicle. The police on September 1 stated that the accused have been identified as Saddam Hussain and Kasem Ali from Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
