Gas Cylinders Explode At Restaurant In Hyderabad; 2 Injured

Two gas cylinders exploded at a restaurant in Hyderabad, injuring two persons, informed police on August 10. The incident occurred at around 2 pm at King's restaurant, in Miraj x road at Mehdipatnam intersection. Reportedly, the explosion caused a fire in the building, which was extinguished with the help of fire brigade(s). According to the police, the cylinders exploded due to technical issues. 53 Persons Admitted To Hospital Following Poisonous Gas Leak: Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh's Atchatapuram, as many as 53 persons have been admitted to hospital for treatment, following a poisonous gas leak incident in the Brandix area. According to district medical and health officer Hemanth, their conditions are stable as of now. All those injured, reportedly complained of difficulty in breathing, nausea and vomitting. The evacuation process in the premises is underway.

IndiGo Sharjah-Hyderabad Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing In Karachi Airport Due To Technical Glitch

IndiGo aircraft from Sharjah to Hyderabad was redirected to Pakistan's Karachi airport after the pilot claimed technical fault. IndiGo stated that another flight will be dispatched to Karachi to transport passengers to Hyderabad. This is the second time in two weeks that an Indian airline has made an emergency landing in Karachi. Previously, on July 5, a SpiceJet flight from New Delhi to Dubai had to undergo an emergency landing.

Telangana Govt Sanctions Rs 17 Crore, Clears Salary Dues Of Imams & Muezzins

The government of Telangana has sanctioned an amount of Rs 17 crore to clear of the salary dues of Imams and Muezzins, which were pending since three months. Chairman of the Telangana Waqf Board Mohammad Masiullah Khan thanked CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, and welcomed the decision. Notably, the Telangana government is paying Rs 5,000 every month, as honorarium to the Imams and Muezzins in the state.
