In the wrestler's protest development, the Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) Chairman Brij Bhushan Sharab Singh reacted to the FIR registered against him. In an interview, Singh said, ""I am innocent and ready to face the investigation. I am ready to cooperate with the investigative agency. I have full faith in the judiciary and I respect the order of SC, " The FIR was registered after 7-day protest.

Kedar Jadhav, an out-of-favour India batter and ex-CSK player made a bold statement regarding the retirement of MS Dhoni.  When Jadhav was asked if the team is ready to play without Dhoni, he stated that this season is going to be Dhoni's last. Jadhav cited Dhoni's age as the reason for his speculation, saying the team isn't ready to play without Dhoni. However, an official announcement is awaited.
