UNAMA Urges For Protection Of All Minorities After Attack On Kabul Gurudwara

United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has strongly denounced the attack on a Sikh temple in Kabul, which is said to have caused multiple injuries. On June 18, unidentified terrorists stormed a Gurudwara in Kabul city, killing at least two people, reportedly a Sikh man and a security guard. UNAMA appeals for the safety of all Afghan minorities, notably Sikhs, Hazaras, and Sufis.

ISIS Terrorists Attack Karte Parwan Gurdwara In Kabul: Afghanistan

In Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, ISIS terrorists have been firing indiscriminately inside Karte Parwan Gurdwara, on June 18. Reportedly, Sikh Sangat is stuck inside and the number of casualties have not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area, and counter-terrorism motion is ongoing. Furthermore, an eyewitness stated that a security personnel was killed in the attack.

IED Explosion Kills 5 Taliban Militants & 1 Civilian In Afghanistan

An IED explosion in Afghanistan's Spin Boldak area killed at least five Taliban combatants and one civilian. The explosion happened early in the morning on June 9. Security personnel were dispatched to the scene to examine the incident. Blasts are not uncommon in Afghanistan; on June 4, a bomb occurred in Kabul's Police District-4 using explosives transported on a bicycle, according to the Kabul security agency.

Taliban Issues A "Final & Non-Negotiable" Order For Female TV Anchors To Cover Their Faces On Air

Taliban authorities in Afghanistan have mandated that all-female TV presenters cover their faces while on air. The Taliban's Virtue and Vice Ministry, as well as the Information and Culture Ministry, issued the directive. The order was described as  “final and non-negotiable." Several female broadcasters and presenters have shared photographs of themselves wearing face masks while delivering shows on social media.

Blast Leaves 5 Dead & Several Others Injured At Mosque In Afghanistan

A blast at the Shi'ite mosque in Afghanistan's Mazar-e-Sharif has left five dead, and several others injured. The spokesperson for the provincial health authority Zia Zendani, has shared that as many as fifty people have been injured in  the explosion. The blast has come just days after another tragic attack in western Kabul. The Shi'ite community has occasionally come under attack from the Sunni militants in the country.
