COVID-19: Bhutan To Supply 40 Metric Ton Liquid Oxygen To India Daily
The Indian embassy in Bhutan on April 27 informed that Bhutan will supply liquid oxygen to India amidst the COVID-19 led oxygen crisis. Terming the assistance as 'uniquely close and friendly' bilateral ties, 40 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen will reach Assam in cryogenic containers daily. Reportedly, the new plant which will supply oxygen received 49% FDI from Assam based Indian company Meghalaya Oxygen Private Limited.

Saudi Arabia To Ship 80 Metric Tonnes Of Liquid Oxygen To Help India
Amid mounting oxygen crisis, Saudi Arabia is shipping 80 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen to India to help meet its rising demand due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases. The shipment is being undertaken by Adani group and the Linde Corporation. The Indian mission in Riyadh tweeted, "Embassy of India….thanks to the Ministry of Health Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all their help, support, and cooperation”.

Karnataka To Receive 400 Metric Tonnes Liquid Oxygen For Health Emergency
Maharashtra-based JSW Steel has offered to provide 400 metric tonnes of liquid-oxygen to Karnataka every-day in order to cope up with the lingering oxygen-shortage. Reportedly, the agreement was signed after a meeting held between Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh R Nirani and JSW representatives. However, Nirani also urged several other steel companies to lend hands in mass production of oxygen to address the public health emergency.

Indian Railway Formulates Policy To Transport Liquid Oxygen In Tankers
The Indian Railways, on April 16, released a policy permitting the transportation of liquid oxygen in cryogenic tankers. As per the policy, the oxygen-carrying cryogenic tankers will be transported by the railways as a roll-on roll paid service and the empty flow of tankers will also be charged. Reportedly, the demand was initiated by the Maharashtra government as it is one of the worst-hit states by the Covid-19.
