Drunk Passengers Arrested For Misbehaving With IndiGo Air Hostess
Three passengers were arrested for misbehaving with the air hostess of a Hyderabad to Lucknow Indigo flight, on April 9. The cabin crew (air hostess) registered a complaint against the passengers and accused them to be drunk and allegedly misbehaving with her on the flight. Notably, after landing in Lucknow, the CSIF took the accused to Sarojini Nagar police and booked them under relevant IPC sections.

UP Assembly Speaker To Be Elected On March 29
After Yogi Adityanath's oath-taking ceremony as CM, the BJP led UP Government will now elect the Assembly Speaker on March 29. The name will be announced during a legislature meeting, scheduled to be held in the UP Assembly Secretariat, at 3 pm. Nominations for the speaker will be filed till evening of March 28. Furthermore, the MLAs will also take oath from March 28, administered by protem speaker Ramapati Shastri.

Attempts of Self-harm Reported Outside Lok Bhawan In Lucknow
A 40-year-old man claiming to be a worker of the Samajwadi Party attempted self-immolation on March 10. The incident happened in the afternoon, outside the Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, UP. Police identified the man as Narendra Singh, from Kanpur who also recited political slogans before that. The man splashed himself with inflammable material and set himself on fire, said the police.

Free Entry For Women On Women's Day To Historical Monuments: Lucknow
The Lucknow district administration announced free entry for women to the historical monuments in the city, on March 8. "The Lucknow district administration and the Hussainabad Trust will give free entry to women in Chhota Imambara, and Bada Imambara," a notification issued by DM Abhishek Prakash. Notably, International Women's Day is a global day and also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Ex IFS Officer Found Dead In Bathroom With Gunshot Wound: Lucknow
In Lucknow's Vishalkhand area, a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer was found dead in his house's bathroom, on February 25. Atibal Singh (67), the deceased IFS officer, was found with a gunshot wound and a gun registered under his name, suggesting the case to be that of a suicide. Reportedly, Singh's wife had been out for shopping while the incident took place. Further details are awaited.

Amit Shah To Release BJP Manifesto For UP Assembly Elections On Feb 8
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is to release the BJP manifesto, for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, on February 8. Scheduled on February 6, the release was delayed due to the demise of Lata Mangeshkar. "Amit Shah will release BJP's " Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra" on February 8, 2022, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, UP is scheduled to conduct seven-phased assembly elections, from February 10 to March 7.

Leopard Spotted In CCTV In Lucknow's Gudumba Area
In a shocking incident, a leopard was spotted in CCTV footage in Lucknow's Gudumba area, on December 25 at around 4:12 am. The CCTV footage was installed at a private hospital in which the feline was seen staying at the location for eight minutes. ''After this, the leopard was seen moving in the bylanes,'' said Aniket Ani, the hospital owner. However, the forest department has launched a search operation.

Lucknow Zoo Installs Heaters For Animals Amid Winter
Lucknow's Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, on December 21, took precautionary measures for animals, amid winter. They installed heaters and provided blankets to animals for surviving the freezing weather.
