On September 7, BJP Chief JP Nadda requested to prepare nutritious food and share the recipes with Government for the POSHAN Maah scheme. After launching the social media campaign, Nadda said that the Government aims to form a database with indigenous dishes from all over the country. The scheme was aimed at nurturing pregnant women and children with proper nutrition and address malnutrition by 2022.

After the schools have been shut due to the pandemic, the children of 'Musahari tola' in Badbilla village of Bhagalpur, Bihar are forced to collect waste and beg around for food. “Online education cannot be the only answer, it can only be supplementary. And with mid-day meals, the government must look at ways where food can be delivered to the home for children,” says Keshav Desiraju, former Union Health Secretary.
