Manipur Sexual Assault, Police Arrest 4 Others Accused In Viral Incident
After the viral Manipur sexual assault, the police actively started hunting all the accused who were involved in the sexual assault against two Meitei women. Occurred on May 4, the incident caught the attention of the government and the police, two months after when the video of horrific incident went viral on social media. While the main accused was arrested on July 20, the police four more arrests to date.

No Response From Authority Over Violence Against Women, Says NCW Chairperson
The Manipur Violent assault has led to a detailed discussion over security of citizens, especially women amid the ongoing war in Manipur. After the viral incident, the National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma said, they tried connection the authorities over incidents of violence against women but no response was received from them. She further said, "We reached out to authorities but no response."
