New WhatsApp Feature Allows To Edit Sent Message
In the latest addition, Meta owned WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature, which will allow users to edit your sent message in 15 minutes. The feature will made be available to WhatsApp's 2 billion users in the coming weeks. It counts India as its largest market, with 487 million users. "long-press on a sent message and choose 'Edit' from the menu for up to fifteen minutes.

Meta Holds Another Layoffs Globally, Technical Staff Affected
At meta, the layoffs once again started in a huge scale. In the fresh wave of layoffs, employees working in the technical and IT sector will be hit. Woman Shares Her Layoff Story From Meta, Asks If Zuckerberg Took Paycut

She also said that it is beyond her understanding how the Meta leadership team 'miscalculated so badly that they had to layoff thousands of employees'. Pay To Get Verified Accounts On Instagram, Facebook
Now Instagram and Facebook started selling verified blue ticks to users. After Twitter, meta-owned social media platforms also launched 'meta-verified' for its users, at a monthly charge of Rs 990. As of now, the services have been launched as a trail in New Zealand and Australia, following which it will be sold in India. The prices, Rs 990 and Rs 1,240 for iOs users, will fluctuate in India.

Social Media Accounts Of Donald Trump Restored
Meta announced the restoration of the social media accounts of Donald Trump, the former President of the United States. On February 9, the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the American politician was restored after two years of suspension, for encouraging violence in Capitol. Andy Stone, a spokesman for Meta, confirmed the updates and restored the accounts. Recently, Twitter also restored the account of the former US President.

Meta Discontinues Most Popular VR Game For Quest 1 Customers
Meta is discontinuing Quest 1 VR headset support for "Population: One," their popular VR battle-royale game. Owners of Quest 1 will be unable to launch or play the game after October 31 said BigBox VR. Players can still play Quest 1 if they have a VR-capable PC. Population: One's account progress, in-app purchases, and crossplay are still available on compatible devices such as Meta Quest 2 and Oculus Rift.

Facebook Suspends Several Pakistan-Based Hacker Accounts In Q-22
Meta-owned Facebook suspended several accounts, which were being operated by APT36, a Pakistan-backed hacker group. On August 8, in the second quarter of 2022, the company clarified that the suspended accounts were targeting Indians through bogus accounts, harassing them on religion and gender grounds. The data was confirmed by Facebook, which released its Quarterly Adversarial Report earlier this week, featuring India prominently in it.

Meta Conducts Secret Tests On Twitch-Like Platform 'Super'
Meta, famously known as the owner of Facebook and Instagram, is secretly testing Twitch-like 'Super' app. Super is a livestreaming platform modelled after Twitch, informed Business Insider. According to Mashable, the app has been given to some influencers for secret testing. Also, the app is being used only by a handful of creators. Futhermore, Super is reportedly an independent product unlike Facebook and Instagram.

WhatsApp User To Soon Have 'Voice Status' Feature Update
