38 TMC MLAs In Talks With BJP, Says Mithun Chakraborty

Actor-turned politician Mithun Chakraborty, who joined BJP in 2021, claimed that 38 Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLAs are in talks with the BJP. Reacting to these claims, the TMC camp said, "I think he was mentally ill and not physically... The problem is that he does not know politics." TMC Santanu Sen further said, these claims are nothing but false agendas to mislead people in West Bengal, and have no reality.

Mithun Chakraborty Claims He Considered Suicide During Difficult Times

Mithun Chakraborty recently recounted the most difficult period of his career and said that he considered suicide at times. Mithun said in a new interview with ETimes that he sometimes doubted his ability to fulfill his ambitions. He also said that returning to Kolkata, his birthplace was not a possibility at the time. "But my advice is never to think of ending your life without fighting," he said.

'The Kashmir Files' To Release On March 11 After Bombay HC Dismiss Stay Plea

The Bombay HC dismissed a  plea seeking stay on the release of the 'The Kashmir Files' on March 9. HC Chief Justice Dipankar Datta reviewed the PIL, which said, Vivek Agnihotri's film is hurting religious sentiments of the Islamic community. However, Datta said that the petitioner has not challenged CBFC and dismissed his plea. The movie stars Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, is set to release on March 11.
