BJP Leader's Son Arrested In Murder Of 19 Year Old Girl: Uttarakhand

BJP leader's son Pulkit Arya and two of his employees have been arrested in the murder case of a 19-year-old receptionist of aPulkit's resort in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, on September 23. Notably, the receptionist identified as Ankita Bhandari went missing four days ago, and her body was later found in Pauri Garhwal's Nandalsun belt on September 22. A case has been registered and three people arrested for further investigation.

Goa Police Is Ready To File Charge Sheet Of Sonali Phogat Death Case

The Goa Police is finally ready to file a charge sheet in the BJP MLA Sonali Phogat Death Case. On September 9, Superintendent of Police (North) Shobit Saxena said, the police team is in good place in investigation and is set to file a charge sheet. Meerut Woman Murdered By Unidentified, Police Launches Investigation

 In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, a woman was shot dead at her rented accommodation on June 21.  The police confirmed the victim to be Saima (35), a resident of Shyamnagar locality in the Lisadigate area. The accused is yet to be identified and the body has been sent for an autopsy. Furthermore, the Additional Superintendent of Police Vineet Bhatnagar said, Saima was divorced and stayed with her 7-year-old daughter.

Delhi Police Arrest 3, Including Manpreet Manu Who Fired First At Sidhu Moose Wala

Delhi Police detained three people in connection with the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala, including two main shooters on June 20. According to the authorities, Moose Wala was shot first by a guy named Manpreet Manu. The police discovered a large stockpile of weapons, including three handguns with 50 rounds, eight high explosive grenades, grenade launchers, and nine electric detonators.

NIA Court Denies Bail Plea Of Accused In RSS Worker Murder Case: Karnataka

An accused in the 2016 murder of an RSS worker was denied bail for the third time by a special NIA court in Karnataka. Asim Sheriff has been in detention since November 1, 2016, and is "accused number five" in the case. The bail argument was rejected because the Supreme Court "clearly held that successive bail application is maintainable only in changed circumstances, but not on the same grounds."

Local Court Announces Life Imprisonment To 6 Accused In 1995 Murder Case

In Uttar Pradesh, a Pratapgarh local court sentenced life imprisonment to six people, accused in a 1995 murder case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 24,000 on each of the accused. Kripa Shankar, a local leader filed the petition in 1995, claiming Harivansh Tiwari; Anoop (Umesh) Om Prakash, alias Nanhe; Rajesh Kumar, alias Lallu; Anant Kumar Tiwari and Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, allegedly killed his nephew Suresh Narayan.

Special Public Prosecutor Submits Witness List To Court For Journalist Gauri Lankesh Case

Special Public Prosecutor in the murder case of journalist Gauri Lankesh presented a witness list to Bengaluru City Civil and Sessions Court on June 4. The hearing has been rescheduled to June 6 to allow for filing of any arguments to the plea. Trial will take place from July 4 to 8. Gauri was shot at her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore, on September 5, 2017, by three unidentified men.

Odisha Court Gives Life Imprisonment To Man In 2018 Murder Case

An Odisha court sentenced life imprisonment to Budhuram Bindhani, convicted in a murder case. As per PTI, the convict allegedly murdered Sachindra Mohanta (55) after a heated quarrel. The victim died during treatment at a government hospital. The incident happened on February 18, 2018, and the verdict was given on April 20, 2022.  Judge Deepak Kumar announced the judgment based on the statements of 19 witnesses.

Delhi Police Hunts Wrestler Sushil Kumar In Case Linked To Murder

Two-time Olympian wrestler Sushil Kumar is under radar of the Delhi Police for allegedly being involved in the murder of a 23-year-old wrestler on May 4. The police said Sushil participated into the clash between two groups at the Chhatrasal stadium, which led to the murder. However, he has been missing from his home, added the police. Deceased Sagar Kumar's father is a head constable in the Delhi Police.
