Death Toll Rises To 11 In Nashik Bus Fire Tragedy
In Maharashtra’s Nashik, a bus caught fire on October 7, claiming the lives of 11 persons including a minor, informed city police. Moreover, the injured persons are currently undergoing treatment. The police further stated, “we are trying to ascertain the exact number of deaths with the doctor’s confirmation. In the previous development to the case, eight were believed to be dead, and the death toll has only risen.

Nashik Forest Officials Rescue Young Female Leopard: Maharashtra
The forest department in Maharashtra’s Nashik, has rescued a female leopard of three to four years old, September 6. Reportedly, the leopard was found in Nashik’s Deoli camp area, and will now be released into the forest by the department. The officials stated that the leopard is in a healthy condition. Earlier on September 5, four persons were arrested in Nashik for leopard skin smuggling.

Officer Bearer Of Shiv Sena Attacked In Nashik City
In Nashik, a few unidentified people attacked an office-bearer Nilesh alias Bala Kokane of the Shiv Sena, confirmed police on July 19. Nilesh sustained serious injuries and has been shifted to a nearby hospital. The attack happened on July 18, at MG Road Office of Shiv-Sena, when Kokane was riding his two-wheeler. The police registered a case and patrolling squads of Bhadrakali and Sarkarwada police stations have been alerted.

Lata Mangeshkar's Old-Age Home Soon To Be Reality In Nashik
In a welfare move, the family of singing legend Lata Mangeshkar is to built her dream building of an old-age home. On July 13, the Swar Mauli Foundation launched the building, which will be constructed by a "secular and non-profit" foundation, The new home in Nashik will be open for old-age artists and people who are home-less announced Mangeshkar's family on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

Driver Murders Woman For Allegedly Refusing Sexual Favours
In Maharashtra's Nashik, a 25-year-old man murdered a woman and has been arrested, confirmed Nashik Police on April 13. As per PTI, Sikandar Shaikh, a driver with help of two other accused named Ibrahim Shaikh (27) and Farooque Shaikh (25) abducted Madhavi alias Pallavi Ahire, the victim, and murdered her, after she refused sexual favours. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.

FIR Filed Against Vaibhav Gehlot Over Fraud Allegations: Gujarat
An FIR has been registered against Vaibhav Gehlot son of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, as stated by senior police officer, Gangapur police station. Complainant Sushil Patil stated that in 2018, he was asked by Gujarat Congress member Sachin Valre, who allegedly is close to Vaibhav Gehlot, to invest in a private limited company. Patil then stated that a video call was arranged with Vaibhav who assured him of his returns.

Aditya Thackeray Inaugurates Bridge In Nashik's Tribal Village: Maharashtra
Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aditya Thackeray inaugurated a bridge in Shendripada, a tribal village in Nashik. Under the Shiv Sena government, the bridge will be a boon for villagers, who used bamboo bridge before, risking their lives. Besides the bridge, Thackeray also inaugurated a water tap project in the village to provide free water supply to the tribals, which will be available in the next three months.

Nashik To Get Central Government's Wellness Centre Soon: Maharashtra Govt
Maharashtra's Nashik City is now the fourth in the State to have a Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) centre. The centre will be run by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). "The Wellness centre of Nashik will provide OPD treatment, issue medicine, and a host of other benefits," said official. In addition, the CGHS centre will cover 1.6 lakh people of Nashik.
