In a historic move, India for the first time has employed a team of 100 women officials dedicated to National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Deployed at the River Ganga banks of UP’s Garh Mukteshwar town, the team is fully equipped and trained to provide disaster relief. NDRF Begins Rescue Operation In Karnataka, Maharashtra

Maharashtra: Three-storey Building Collapsed in Bhiwandi; 10 people die
Atleast 10 people have lost their lives and over 25 people were feared trapped after a three-storey building in Patel Compound area at Bhiwandi collapsed on September 21. Reportedly, a rescue operation by the National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) is in progress. NDRF officials said that the locals rescued over 20 people before the arrival of the response force. President Kovind and PM Modi expressed their grief at the tragic incident.
