Punjab Govt Reduces VAT By Rs 10 On Petrol & Rs 5 On Diesel
Punjab Government on November 7 gave a big relief to its people by decreasing the Value Added Tax by Rs 10 on petrol and Rs 5 on diesel. The prices will come into effect from tonight. The petrol and diesel are currently being sold at Rs 106.20 and Rs 89.83 per litre in Punjab respectively. ''Petrol in Punjab has become cheapest in the region,'' said CM Charanjit Singh Channi.

Centre Reduces Excise Duty By Rs 5 On Petrol & Rs 10 On Diesel
On the eve of Diwali, the government of India on November 3 reduced the excise duty by Rs 5 on petrol and Rs 10 on diesel. The new prices will come into effect from November 4. The price for petrol and diesel on November 3 remained at Rs 110.04 per litre and Rs 98..42 a litre in Delhi, repectively. The government also demanded to reduce VAT on fuels.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked For 4th Day In A Row; Hits New High
In Delhi, petrol now costs an all-time high of Rs 110.04 (PL), while diesel continues to retail at Rs 98.42 (PL). In Mumbai, petrol costs Rs 115.85 (PL) and diesel costs Rs 106.62 (PL). Petrol prices have been increased by 31 to 36 paise (PL) while diesel prices surged by 34 to 39 paise (PL) across the country on November 1, according to price notification from state-owned fuel retailers.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Hike By 35 Paise; Mumbai Tops Chart Again
Petrol and diesel prices increase for the fifth time in a row by 35 paise on October 31. In Delhi, petrol and diesel increase to 109.34 and Rs 98.07 per litre, respectively. Petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 115.51 and Rs 106.23 per litre respectively, in Mumbai. However, petrol is sold at Rs 106.04 in Chennai and Rs 109.79 per litre in Kolkata.

Vegetables Cost More Due To Hike In Fuel Prices: Traders In Delhi
In the National Capital of India, Delhi, the cost of vegetables and fruits have gone up as of October 25, due to the surging fuel prices which is simultaneously increasing the transportation cost. "Petrol and Diesel prices have increased transportation as well as toll costs", a trader from the Ghazipur Mandi said. "There is reduced supply in the market," he further added.

Petrol and diesel prices witness a hike of 35 Paise for the fifth time in a row on October 24. In Delhi, petrol increased to Rs 107.59, while diesel to Rs 96.32 per litre. In Chennai, petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 104.52 and Rs 100.59 respectively. Petrol & Diesel Prices Continue To Hike For 4th Time In Row
State-owned fuel companies increased the prices for Petrol and Diesel by 35 paise in India for the fourth consecutive day on October 23. Following the hike, Petrol and diesel costs Rs 107.24 a litre and 95.97 a litre in Delhi, respectively. Meanwhile, Mumbaikars will pay Rs 113.12 on petrol and Rs 104 per litre on Diesel. Reportedly, there's no possibility that the prices will go down in the near future.
