Captain Amarinder Singh, who recently floated new Punjab Lok Congress has met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on March 7. The meeting came days after the Punjab concluded its Assembly elections, but Singh clarified that the meeting is to discuss about Punjab, not elections. "The alliance with the BJP has done well in Punjab and are waiting for the results, scheduled on March 10," said Singh.

BSP Chief Mayawati To Start Poll Campaign From Feburary: Punjab
Ahead of the Punjab elections, BSP chief Mayawati will start her election campaign on February 8. The party President Jasvir Singh Garhi said, the BSP chief will address a rally at Nawanshahr. "The BSP-SAD alliance would free, Punjab from the mis-rule of the Congress Party," Garhi said. Meanwhile, Mayawati will not contest the UP elections and help others to win the polls. Arvind Kejriwal Thanks People After winning Chandigarh Municipal Polls
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on December 28 said that people have opted for an honest and corruption-free government after his party won Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Polls. "Whole Punjab wants to change and AAP will work together with all the parties for the development," he added. AAP won 14 out of 35 wards. BJP secured second place, followed by the Congress.

Would Provide Rs 1,000 Per Month To Women In Punjab If Elected: Arvind Kejriwal
If elected to power in the 2022 Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would provide Rs 1,000 per month to each woman in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal made the remark on the first day of his two-day tour to poll-bound Punjab. In addition, he also said that older women who are beneficiaries of the state's pension plans will continue to get their pension, according to reports.

Arvind Kejriwal To Launch 'Mission Punjab', Arrives In Moga
Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Moga, Punjab, on November 22, to launch "Mission Punjab" and kickstart the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections campaign.
