An 83-year-old seer Swami Shankar Das, who lives inside a cave in Rishikesh, has donated Rs 1 crore for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Living in the cave for 60 years, Das collected the money from the donations given by devotees and decided to give it to the construction. He said, "I decided to donate the amount for Ram Mandir for which we all have been dreaming for long."

President Ram Nath Kovind donated Rs 5 lakh and one hundred towards donation drive for Ayodhya Ram Temple construction on January 15. Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Alok Kumar said, "He is the first citizen of the country so we went to him to initiate this drive." Rajasthan government has planned to clear a forest section of the Band Baretha wildlife sanctuary to extract pink sandstone for building Ram temple at Ayodhya. Reportedly, Land prices have seen an increase of almost 30-40% since 'Bhumi Pujan' and Supreme Court's verdict in 2019.
