FIR Against BJP Leader For Using Derogatory Remarks Against Jharkhand CM, His Family
An FIR has been registered against Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi at Kanke police station in Ranchi for allegedly making defamatory remarks against the Soren family, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren. According to sources, The FIR was registered on August 23, on the complaint of one Sonu Tirkey, who alleged that in a Facebook post, the BJP member Babulal used derogatory remark against CM Soren and his family.

Ranchi: 2 People Shot Dead Near Science City, Accused Absconding
In a shocking incident, an unidentified person shot down two people identified as Mukesh Kumar and Rohan Kumar, near science city, in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The incident occurred on August 12, under the Bariatu Police Station limits and a SIT is formed to nab the accused, who are currently absconding. Furthermore, initial investigation suggested that personal rivalry over the shop land was reason behind the brutal double murder.

Ameesha Patel Surrenders In Cheating Of Rs 2.5 Crore Case
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who was accused of cheating film producer-businessman Ajay Kumar Singh of Rs 3 crore, surrendered in Ranchi on June 17. She surrenders in connection to a cheque bounce case. Notably, Ajay had accused the actress of borrowing Rs 2.5 crore from him under the pretext of making a film, but neither did she ever finish it, nor did she return the money.

Ranchi Police Arrest Most Wanted Banned Extremist Outfit Commander
Bhikhan Ghanju, the zonal commander of Triteeya Sammelan Prastuti Committee, a banned terror-outfit has been arrested in Ranchi, on March 20, confirmed police. Notably, the banned outfit leaders are most wanted criminals by NIA, involved in smuggling of arms, ammunitions and connection with Naga underworld. Ghanju has bounty of Rs 10 lakhs and 26 cases against him and was active in coal belt areas like Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Chatra.

Police Set Up Juvenile Friendly Police Station in Ranchi
With facilities like attached toilets, beds, and colourful walls painted with cartoons, the Kotwali police station has been turned into a juvenile friendly surrounding. Kotwali Police Station in Ranchi under NGO "Bachpan Bachao Andolan" inaugurated a model of "Baal Mitra" police station. DSP Vimal said that this model will protect children against "adverse psychological effects" and is planned to be set up in other stations as well.
