The Delhi Police has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for information on R-Day tractor rally miscreants Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh. Besides, Rs 50,000 will be given for information on Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Iqbal Singh. Delhi HC Rejects Petition To Release Detained R-Day Protesters
The Delhi High Court on February 2 directed the police to investigate the Republic Day violence at the earliest and has rejected the petition seeking the release of detained protestors. Claiming the petition as "Publicity Interest Litigation", Judges pronounced, “the arrested persons cannot be released without entering into the merits of FIRs". Besides, the bench has directed to produce the detainees before the Magistrate within 24 hours.

R-Day Violence: Delhi HC Rejects PIL To Charge Police, Intelligence
A PIL that demanded action against the police and intelligence authorities for Republic Day violence was dismissed by a bench of The Delhi High Court on February 1. The bench comprising Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh stated it was too early to interfere as police have filed FIRs. The petitioner Delhi Citizen Forum for Civil Rights claimed that the incident was a fault of security officials.

Delhi Police Uses Face Recognition To Catch R-Day Violence Miscreants
The Delhi Police is using facial recognition method to identify people who were involved in the violence at the R-Day tractor parade and raided Red Fort. Identifying over 250 suspects, the police have arrested 19 people and detained over 200 after registering 33 FIRs till now. Besides, the police also used voter ID cards and driving licenses to corner over two dozen people linked with vandalism and hoisting religious flag at the Red Fort.

Home Ministry Issues Advisory Against Use Of Plastic Made Tricolour
