Samsung To Hold Mobile Phone Production Due To Chip Shortage

Amid the serious imbalance in semiconductor's supply globally, Samsung has halted the production of its semi-range  mobile phones due to shortage of chip. However, the company had planned to release a cheaper version of Galaxy S21 in August, but suspended due to shortage of Qualcomm's application processor. According to South Korea's Electronics Times report, Samsung might suspend S21 FE model's production.

Korean smartphone maker Samsung will launch its much awaited Galaxy M12 on March 11 in India. Succeeding the previous Galaxy M11, Galaxy M12 is equipped with 6.5-inch infinite-V display along with powerful 6,000mAh battery. In addition, the phone comes with a 8nm Exynos processor and 48MP primary lens. Currently priced at a base price of Rs 10,499, smartphone will be launched via an online event, as per Amazon webpage.
