A 28-year-old man was killed and three others were wounded when a speeding car swerved onto the pavement in Bengaluru on May 20. Rudrappa alias Suresh Kumar, of Bellur village in Shivamogga district, has been identified as the dead. The force of the collision threw one of them into the air, while another was trapped between two automobiles. The authorities assume the accident was caused by lack of sleep.

Karnataka's former CM Kumaraswamy criticised the BJP and Congress for the murder of 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist in Shivamogga, Karnataka. Ramaiah, a farmer based in Sidlipura village of Shivamogga district, Karnataka, complained to the police after his cows stopped giving milk. The man alleged that he takes his cows to gaze from 8 AM to 11 AM and from 4 PM to 6 PM every day but they don't yield milk. ''So, police must convince them to give milk,'' said the man. However, the police didn't lodge the "illogical" complaint.
