In Tamil Nadu, a mother with her male acquaintance exploited her minor daughter sexually and forced her to sell her eggs in various private hospitals. On June 6, TN police arrested the two accused and registered a case under various IPC, POCSO and other Acts. The investigation further revealed that the accused was in an egg-selling business and sold her teen daughter's eggs eight times in three years.

Tamil Nadu police department is being lauded on social media platforms as they released a woman on July 13, who killed a man in her self-defense following his attempt to rape her. Reportedly, the man attempted to rape the woman when she was working at the farm. Meanwhile, she resisted and knocked him out with a stone to his head.
