Two gas cylinders exploded at a restaurant in Hyderabad, injuring two persons, informed police on August 10. The incident occurred at around 2 pm at King's restaurant, in Miraj x road at Mehdipatnam intersection. Gnanendra Prasad, BJP member, was discovered dead at his home. When police officers from Miyapur arrived, they saw Prasad hanging from a fan. "The reason for his suicide is not known yet, but he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days," police added. A post-mortem investigation was then performed on the deceased at a nearby government hospital. A case has been filed and additional investigations are ongoing.
