Assam Police Nab 2 Youths For Trying To Join Naga Outfit; SP Jain Blames Social Media

In Assam's Sadiya district, police apprehended two youths for allegedly trying to join the Naga outfit group NSCM-IN. Superintendent of Police Pushkin Jain said that the youths were nabbed after receiving intelligence inputs, and was later counselled and handed over to their families. He further stated that the youths had admitted that they were going to join the outfit. "The youths can easily be influenced through social media," he said.

Man Confesses To 3 Bomb Blasts In Imphal, Says Was Paid Rs 30,000: Manipur

Manipur police has arrested a 46-year-old man, who is believed to be responsible for a string of low-intensity blasts in and around city, in the recent weeks. The accused identified as Thounaojam Rishi Luwangcha has been arrested and explosives, detonators and cordtex wires have been seized from his possession. According to the police, Thounaojam confessed to his crime, and said that he was paid Rs 30,000 for each blasts.

Kashmiri TV Actress Amreen Bhat Killed Outside Residence In Budgam By Terrorists

In Chadoora area of J&K's Budgam, two unidentified terrorists killed Kashmiri TV actress Amreen Bhat and left her 10-year-old nephew injured, on May 26. Reportedly, the men came to her house and called her for a shoot, when she stepped outside, they killed her. Her nephew sustained a bullet injury on his arm, and is being treated. Policeman Shot Dead, Daughter Injured By Terrorist In J&K's Srinagar

In a tragic incident, a policeman lost his life after a terrorist opened fire at him in Soura area, on May 24. The incident occurred in J&K's Srinagar district, where the policeman's daughter was also injured. After the shootout, policeman Saifulla Qadri was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. J&K police paid tribute to the fallen soldier. Further details on the matter is awaited.

Security Forces Gun Down 1 Terrorist In J&K's Bandipora

In the Salinder forest area of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district, one terrorist was killed in an encounter that broke out on, May 11. Furthermore, three magazines and one AK rifle was recovered. LeT Associate Caught In Pulwama

An associate of terrorist organisation Lakshar-e-Taliba was nabbed by some security forces in Pulwama on 3rd May. He was allegedly trying to flee from a checkpoint in Pulwama's Rabitar village. Ammunition has been recovered from the vehicle that he had been driving. The man has been identified as Lateaf Ah Kambay, who lives in the Wakura village of the Ganderbal district.

1 Newly Joined LeT Terrorist Arrested In J&K's Bandipora

In J&K's Bandipora, a person belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit, was arrested, on April 18. The arrest was made in a joint cordon and search operation involving three Battalion CRPF officials and 14 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), reported, ANI. The accused was identified as Amir Tariq Khan, whose photograph went viral on social media on April 13, after he joined The Resistance Font (TRF).
