Indian Govt To Resume International Flights From Mid December

The Indian Government announced to resume international flight services from December 15. Germany Imposes Travel Ban On South Africa Due To New Covid-19 Variant

The German Government set to impose a travel ban on South Africa, said German Health Minister Jens Spahn on November 26. The decision was taken due to the emergence of the new variant of Covid-19. Reportedly, only German citizens will be allowed to travel here and also have to undergo quarantine for 14 days. The new rules will come into effect from the night of November 26.

UAE Lifts Travel Ban For India, 14 Other Countries; Expects Global Traffic

UAE has lifted its travel ban for the vaccinated people from India and 14 other countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. According to reports, the Disaster Management Authority has notified that the shot received should be approved by WHO. Besides, the new guidelines will come into effect from September 12 and are expecting huge global traffic. Moreover, Dubai will start its Expo 2020 World Fair on October 1.

Oman To Open Travel Sevices For Vaccinated People, Including India

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Oman decided to open its travel services from September 1 for the citizens of over 20 countries, including India who has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, people have to wait for 14 days after receiving the vaccines to travel and also need to carry negative RT-PCR certificates to get exemption from quarantine. Oman also lifted the night curfew in the country.

Canada Extends Ban On Indian Flights Till Sept 21: COVID-19

Giving no relief to Indian passengers, Canada on August 9 decided to increase the ban on the passengers as well as commercial flights from India until September 21, 2021. However, the ban doesn't apply to indirect flyers and medical-driven flights. Reportedly, the decision came to tackle the spread of coronavirus and it was ''based on the latest public health advice from the Public Health Agency of Canada''.

India Extends International Travel Ban Till August 31

India has extended the travel ban for its international passengers till August 31. However, this does not apply to cargo services. In a circular issued by the Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on July 30, it is said that the international travel ban will continue till 23:59 hrs IST of August 31. Besides, this action has been taken on the pretext of the Covid-19 third wave.

55,000 Indians Travelled To Maldives From Jan-Apr 2021
